Technology Thursday: TC-Helicon VoiceJam App

New CCM Institue Banner

Here’s a fun app for you technology minded singer-songwriters. The TC-Helicon VoiceJam is a low cost alternative to the loop pedals made famous by artists like Ed Sheeran, Kimbra, and KT Tunstall. With other hand-controlled interfaces running as much as $399.00, this $3.99 app is a STEAL! Here’s an example of what you can do with a loop pedal.

The VoiceJam app works with the internal mic and headphones, or headphones that have an inline mic. You can also connect an aftermarket interface such as the iRig 2.

The interface is easy to use and allows you to record multiple loops and even add vocal effects.

If you need help learning to use the app, TC-Helicon offers great tutorials from the help menu.

Want to see it in action before you buy? Check out the video below.

Do you have other looping apps you and/or your students like to use? If you do, please share them in the comments section below.
